Come hear guest speaker John Covach, Professor of Music & Chair of the College Music Department at the University of Rochester, as he discusses teaching music courses in the general studies curriculum. John is a guest in the Arts Leadership Program class "Preparing Future Music Faculty," taught by Susan Wharton Conkling, Carnegie Scholar in the Pew National Fellowship Program and prominent guest conductor.
This event is sponsored by the Catherine Filene Shouse Arts Leadership Program,part of the Institute for Music Leadership (IML) at the Eastman School of Music. As the first center of its kind in the country, the IML is vital hub for creating, sharing, and implementing cutting-edge programs that will ensure the vitality and relevance of music in the 21st century.
